How to troubleshoot a failed video download

Start with the exact task error instead of repeatedly clicking download. Different failures need different fixes.

403 / 401

For expired links or request context, choose Refresh the source page on the failed task, replay the video and open FetchMV. Select the task and replacement media, then Restore. The task page and filename are retained; the new resource starts from scratch without mixing old cached bytes. Previously selected tracks or subtitles require confirmation again.

Missing segments or network interruption

Confirm the source still plays, retry later and lower task and stream concurrency in Download settings. Old segments removed from a live playlist usually cannot be recovered.

Audio-only or video-only output

Choose Download with other options and select a matching audio track. Use recording if the source uses unsupported codecs or track relationships.

Finished file will not play

Check that the file size is reasonable and use a player that supports modern MP4 or WebM. Tiny direct media below 500 KB is often an initialization segment and is hidden by default.
